Jun Ioneda is a graphic artist from Brazil whose work blends science fiction, fantasy, queer themes, and Japanese influences. His art ranges from playful and whimsical to introspective and subtly melancholic, featuring expressive, colorful characters that explore contrasting themes. With a touch of humor woven throughout, Jun’s work captures a unique balance of lightness and depth. He leads illustration projects both as a solo multidisciplinary artist and as head of his own studio, BARCA, for clients such as McDonald's, Spotify, and Tinder, even creating his own MTV Artist Ident aired during Pride. Beyond his commercial work, Jun has collaborated with artists in various creative spheres, including fashion, where he conceptualized a full collection and campaign, meticulously hand-painting individual pieces. He also shares his knowledge by teaching Illustration and Art Direction at Aprender.Design and the Barcelona School of Arts and Design (LABASAD).
